Better City, Better Life” The Oasis Project aims directly to create a better community by empowering the local citizens to build spaces to strengthen the community and evoke a better life for their inhabitants. As we see it, the Oasis game is a community project to improve people’s life in their communities by sharing common dreams and make them come true. Therefore it is important for our project to be linked to the World Expo and it´s theme “Better City, Better Life”. The Aim and Challenge of this assignment is to display the potential of collaboration and new understandings that come from the interaction Brazilian work methods meeting Chinese culture and potentially spark innovation and collaboration. The government officials had been given our criteria for choosing a community and they will select one which specifically matches ours and their requirements. And to get their approval we have been in contact with some authorities that can support our project. We have worked with several partners in Shanghai such as the Nordic Light House, the Expo Pavilion and the Danish Consulate. A a result of our collaboration The Oasis project will host 1 or 2 events at the Nordic Lighthouse during the Expo. This will hopefully create an awareness and public relations to the visitors of the Expo towards our work with the community in a Chinese context and by that strength our relation with Chinese government officials and the Danish authorities based in the country. 16 years ago - View |
