A hacker community emerged from Xindanwei and established by a few Xindanwei Coworkers. Xīnchējiān offers a hacker space to support, create and promote physical computing, open source hardware and Internet of Things.

Community-operated physical places all around the world, where people can meet and have fun on their （mostly tech)projects.
Un-conference
Different from conventional conference, this is a participant-driven meeting where content is planned and provided by the participants. For example, barcamp, meetup.
New Mentor
New Mentor is a peer to peer consultancy service for Xindanwei members. Through monthly in-depth conversation, our community managers get a hands-on understanding of the issues and bottle necks our members are facing in their projects, and help them connect with the knowledge, talents and resources in the Xindanwei platform, as well as offer prompt professional help and advices.
Chitchat
Chitchat is a weekly informal open event held/hosted by and for the community members of Xindanwei and anyone interested in getting connected with this community. Anyone could submit their work or project to book an afternoon at Xindanwei and share with the public. The event is absolutely free-style, so the format is not the central issue here.
Xinshanzhai
The “Xin” in Xinshanzhai is about a new opportunity opened up by combining the traditional shanzhai’s efficient micro manufacture capacity with new open innovation framework largely based on open hardware movement. It’s vastly open with standardized hardware and open source OS.The key point of Xinshanzhai is to promote this efficient micro manufacture ecosystem and promote the open source hardware and sharing culture.
Time Service
Service that allows members to use Xindanwei space on time basis. The annual and monthly membership offer an exclusive desk free usage (limited) of the meeting room, and a key that allows you to access the space anytime.
Property Service
The creative space service of Xindanwei, providing a various selection of spaces transformed from old factories and villas for creative events, flexible working space and retail stores.
Xindanwei People
Every month Xindanwei invite a Xindanwei coworker to share about their dreams, their work as well as their personal experience at Xindanwei. Xindanwei promotes these sharing through online platforms.

A Xindanwei newsletter sent to the subscribers on bi-weekly basis, to communicate and promote community’s news and activities.

The first coworking space in China. Located on Yongjia rd 50, the heart of Shanghai’s former French Concession area, it is an attractively decorated 6-storey lane house from the 1930’s, with antique art deco furniture, rustic wooden floors, ceiling beams & a roof terrace.
