Ben Houge has been active in the Chinese experimental music/sound art scene since 2004, having performed at most of China’s major festivals and venues. He has presented his real-time, algorithmic sound and/or video installations at Beijing’s Today Art Museum, Shanghai’s OV Gallery, and Art+Shanghai Gallery. Ben holds a Master’s degree in classical composition from the University of Washington, but has also been a pop songwriter since grade school, and the main subject of his art is to find connections between all of these disparate threads, disciplines, and practices.
