Liu Yong, Mainland first MOOC (Massive Online Open Courseware) “Learn Gephi in Chinese” will share his feedback about massive online training and visualization software.
Gephi course attendees will share their work and on-hands experience about data visualization
Presentation by people in the audience about personal / professional projects related to data and visualization
Open discussion about how to build a research community and discussion group about data visualization in mainland China

Collecting dataviz projects
We want to use this occasion to start collecting existing dataviz projects from Mainland China. You can upload your own work using a Douban account and then share it publicly during the event.

About the speaker Liu Yong / 刘勇(@ooof )
in March 2012, Liu Yong started an online training program (MOOC Massive Online Open Courseware) about data visualization software Gephi on Udemy platform. In October 2012 already more than 800 attendees has joined the course. Member of NGO 2.0 Researcher at MIT New Media Action Lab.
